Coach Return Times

Just curious to know if most coach return times were similar to their departure times for London/Bristol. It was mentioned here a few weeks back that it seemed to be random and I want to find evidence for this.  For example my outbound is at 6:30AM and my return is at 5am. Close enough and this has always been the same for me. Anyone get anything wacky?

Not that this is necessarily what you asked, but I don't think return times really matter do they? You can generally just turn up for one at any time, and just get on the next one. I've known several people get on the coach without even having bought a ticket.

Probably true for big cities, but I reckon if you're going to, say Cleethorpes, there'll be just the one bus for you to get.

I think they’re a lot more flexible than national express in that regard. I know that they don’t want to send a bus away with empty seats.

i did have a friend get stranded once - that was to London. Waited too late. 

Also know someone who missed their onward train because the queue was long and they were too polite to push in and say that it was their allocated time  

But yes, doesn’t really matter. I was just curious of the system after someone said they had an early morning departure but a late afternoon return.

When I got through London 9am departure was offering 3 or 4am return - enough to convince me to take a single. Other times did have closer return times.

We were lucky enough to get coach tickets yesterday from Bristol.  We got 07:30 on Thursday and the return is 06:30 on Monday

Bristol out 1030 return 1230. Last time I did coach they didn't care that we turned up early, you just got on the next that was ready to go.

We got single coach journeys on Thursday from Bath but the person who got them can’t remember what time it was. Does anyone know what time it said?

Didn't realise you could get a single from Bath.  From Bath you won't find out the time until closer to the festival. There are only a few locations where you pick your time and know ahead of time - London and Bristol for sure. Some reports this year say you got to pick times from Manchester this year.
