Anyone else shitting it yet? Or just me?

I've just sent out the updated spreadsheet to our group that is going/hoping to go with all of those trying in the resale. I've tactically placed myself in the top group and havent specifically told people who to go for first, so I'm hoping everyone helps me out first. I've decided I need to recieve some perks for always doing the spreadsheets.

It's not just you, I keep going through waves of excitement in anticipation of getting a ticket followed by fear that I won't get one!

So.. How do we increase the chance to get tickets? Is it worth using autorefreshers and plugins like check4change? F5 every second or wait 3-4 seconds? Multiple browser on each device or one browser per device?

Lots of devices / friends trying from lots of different internet connections

dont bother with plugins you'll likely lock yourself out, it says on their site they block multi hit software so it's probably not worth the risk

Is this something new? I'm pretty sure I've heard people using software like check4change to get through before.

Not for the actual sales, check4change is very useful for getting into a secret sale of it comes to it. During the sales you might as well play fastest finger first with the rest of us

"Glastonbury Festival will cancel all bookings made using multi-hit software or applications to ensure everyone has a fair and equal chance of getting a ticket.
Attempting to book tickets on multiple browser tabs can cause your transaction to fail. We advise that you use one single browser tab only when booking tickets, in order to avoid problems with your transaction."

Thank you very much! So one tab per browser, but 2-3 browser per device? Or is it pointless?

Lots of windows is ok, but you'll usually find that if one window gets through they all do at the same time so it is kind of pointless

I'll be going for tickets at work tomorrow (as I wont get home in time otherwise), I have a double screen set up here, are you saying it wouldnt be worth my time to have 2 different browsers going (one on each screen)?

I was planning Chrome on one, Firefox on't other and phone in hand. This not reccomended?

Sorry to be ignorant but what does "multi-hit software" count as?  I've got an Auto Refresh set up - would this count?  I don't think it would but my brain isn't really thinking straight when it comes to tickets!

Auto refresh software is exactly what this refers to.

I used an auto refresher last year at least - successfully.

It's fine just use Firefox, chrome & IE with 1 or 2 of each open, "private browsing" windows that have unique session id's would be good

That's what I did last year - Chrome, Firefox and IE but only one tab in each.  (I think there was another one on my desk computer as well - some weird one I can't remember the name).  I think it worked as one got through when the others didn't - and no, before you ask I can't remember which one I got through on!  But it was a Thursday page rather than a Wednesday page.

Congrats, but it's says don't so I wouldn't advise it myself

True, but an auto refresher does nothing else than automatically refresh the page every X seconds. It's dumb and don't stop when the sites changes, you have to stop it manually. Not 100% sure it counts as auto-hit software. Probably won't take my chance this year though.

Ah shit - didn't realise that!  How can they tell that I'm using auto refresh rather than hitting F5 every few seconds?

Are we sure? How do they define "multi-hit" software? Seems like the same sentence has been there for 10 years and people have been using auto refreshers after that for sure without getting their ticket cancelled.

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
