Hahahaha, will do. Do they ID check whilst going into the campsite? Don't plan on drinking in the arena so wasn't going to bring it.

Just looking at the beer selection they have got a good choice. I can see they've stayed quite low on the alcohol content. There's no bit hitters there which I suppose can be viewed as sensible at a long festival. 

I'll need to stock up and have nice beer on the campsite.

That's me every year ! Don't think I've ever taken less than 20 cans back to the car. We don't even drink that much so why we'd need 40 cans or so and boxed wine is beyond me......

The beers and cinders on site are usually a decent mix, Strongbow selection, amstel and a decent craft beer range. Standard bar prices for a festival plus you can pay contactless which is usually fatal on the bank balance cos God knows how much you've spent till you get home !

No token system, never waited longer than 5 minutes at any bar.  Only queue can sometimes be for water in the dance tent, but never too bad.

Wheel barrow as long as it has an air filled tyre. Other wheels tend to rattle off

What's the car parks like? The tickets I bought off Twickets came with a red parking pass. 

Are the car parks rough and cars likely struggle for traction? 

We've got a 4.5 hour drive and my car is better than her car for long trips. I don't want to get stuck in a muddy field though.

Car parks aren't usually too bad. It's a field, on a hillside in places but not normally muddy or hard to get out from.

This! Took about 24 cans of Hobgoblin in, back breakingly with all the other kit, and took about 16 cans back, after the appeal of warm brown beer lessened somewhat. Did drink all the gin and vodka however and copious use of the real ale tents.......

Same. As the years go by I've learnt to take less and less beer and take more spirits instead

I'll be taking copious amounts of Brewdog(and other) beer. Not just the supermarket offerings either.

Find my tent and you'll not leave sober.

I'll probably take both but what do you reckon will be best, walking boots or wellies? My walking boots are really comfortable but don't know if they'd handle a crazy amount of mud.

You can't go to a festival without wellies. Get them packed!

Walking boots all the way for me, had some really muddy festivals and they've never let me down, always had dry feet as well and they're comfortable

Sorry if this has already been asked. What's the terrain like at KC? Have previous years been real muddy? Obviously will be taking wellies, just curious!

A little bit hilly in areas, nothing silly though, fairly easy to get around although if it's muddy it can be a trial in areas !

If it rains then it will be muddy; anything up to 6-10 inches deep in places. Round the toilets gets particularly bad.

There's shops open most of day and night in the village green which is in general camping. You can buy all sorts from it

Has anyone stayed offsite before?

im in Deer Lodge this year but I have friends with weekend tickets that are booked into a hotel or b&b in Penrith. Are they able to come & go daily?
