Last time I camped i had one of these. The 10cm one

Didn't pay that much for it, more like £30. Was so comfortable, stayed inflated, able to get it to the right level of firmness for me. Absolutely massive when packed away though. As big as my large, 2 metre high, big porch 3 man tent so not the most convenient if you have to carry a long way.

These look like they could be pretty comfortable with a self inflating mattress on top (again, not the most convenient though)

Its one or the other for me. Would you prefer one over a self inflatable mattress?

Dunno yet sorry - not done anything more than put it up at home and stretch out on it.  I think if I had to choose one over the other I'd go with the bed simply because its smaller and lighter to carry.

So I bought one of these.

30 quid. Amazingly light. Pretty comfy, not yet slept on it. Not slept on it because the 7 year old immediately nabbed it and has slept on it for the past 3 nights! Not sure how durable it is but so far has survived being in a house with 4 small children - so I'd imagine it'd be good for a zombie apocalypse.
