Nice one Thurlow wnd brighternow what a star for getting through 

feeling bit down for all those that missed out, including buddies .... After Thursday's success it seems like a lot of miss outs today, do you think they put on more coaches and weighted it towards coach resales ?

I'm SO happy I got through for you!  It was an amazing feeling.

It's been quite a day - after the emotion of resale day, I went down to Brighton to see my brother-in-law run in the marathon.  He was over the moon as he did it in less than 3.5 hours.  So more happiness there!  And I managed to see my other three friends who were running too.  And I walked over 9 miles (good practice for Glastonbury!)

Along with thurlow, BrighterNow also got mrs gumby a ticket this morning  I've been solo once before, and would do it again if she couldn't go for some reason, but I can't deny I'm happier that we can now go together, along with gumby jr. We'll see you at one of the meets, BrighterNow, what's your tipple?

If I remember correctly she has sampled my concoction?! And liked it! Well done @BrighterNow, it's such a good feeling when you help someone with the golden ticket!

I have indeed, Curlygirl!  Most delicious it was too.  And you're right, it's an amazing feeling when you're able to help someone get a ticket.  I was really emotional yesterday morning.

Actually, is it you who's bringing the pineapple gin?  Because if so, that's something I'd love to try.  A sip of pineapple gin will be all the thanks I need!

No, there are a few people who said they're planning to make that, but I wasn't one of them. I will be bringing a few homemade drinks, though. I'm planning to make some mince pie whisky, and some kind of flavoured vodka (possibly marmalade flavour, or peach melba). I'm also currently making some Seville orange wine, which might be ready in time.

Mmmmmm, marmalade or peach melba vodka sound delicious!  And you're right, Tommy - sometimes I get bored with the stuff on offer at pubs.  I'd definitely go to one that offered marmalade vodka, pineapple gin and cherry brandy!

How long do these alcohol infusions take? If I started soon would I get a decent result in time for Glastonbury?

Most only take a couple of weeks at most, although the longer you leave them, the more flavour you get. There are some recipes that taste a bit harsh when first made, but improve with storage. I made orange brandy recently, that took ten days to infuse, but will be kept for several months to mature. I made mince pie whisky at Christmas, that took 2 weeks, but was ready to drink straight away.

BTW When is this taste/alcohol meet - would love to join or is that the same as the NFR meet or the efest meet :-)
