Barry Manilow?

I'm giving up lurking in the shadows! Mainly because I found a solid contribution ;)

Randomly happened across this website page, not sure if it's been posted before, apologies if that's the case. I know there was speculation of Bazza for the legends slot which got quashed with the ELO announcement, but hey, Burt Bacharach was a legend too last year wasn't he?

On second viewing, site looks highly suspect, carry on :/

I think its rubbish. Hapfind and Worldeventer both scrape events from Facebook. Anybody could set up a Facebook event for @wrongbazza or even Radiohead to play Glastonbury. Doesn't mean its happening.

Yup. Hapfind's listings also have AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Motorhead and David Bowie playing.

Agreed! Discovered that after a little digging, hence my edit to add the final sentence saying it looks dubious!!!

Rookie error..... D'oh!!

Barry Manilow ended up being my pre-Glasto warm up gig last night after we landed on a couple of free tickets, so went along for a giggle. They say truth is stranger than fiction, but there were 14,000 people going nuts with glow sticks as big Baz came onto Born Slippy by Underworld.

73 years old, chatty with the crowd throughout and one of the most entertaining gigs I have been to in years. All I could think of was, he would go down brilliantly at Glasto. With his UK tour finished Thursday night, it seems a shame he hasn't been booked.

+1 saw him Wednesday in Manchester, got the cheap £19.75 tickets so was right at the back, the whole place was buzzing, really great gig, his voice is still good, quite amazing.

I'm definitely of the opinion that the line up is poorer for the absence of #WrongBaz.

We did toy with going to the Glasgow show, but just got too much on this month and need to seize early nights when I can get them.

Haha. This reads like I just can't hack the late nights out at Barry Manilow gigs.

Funnier that it's actualy true.
