Avalon toilets deserve a special mention.  Staffed at all times, the barriers were an unusual feature but didn't do anything to detract and they were permanently sparkling.  I was very grateful.

There seemed to be a big increase in urinals this year, which might have helped the long drops stay in a better state.

Have to say, I only used the composting ones a couple of times and on both occasions they needed emptying badly. I think the intention is really good, but the execution needs some work!

Usually get there early to pitch somewhere nearish to the flushers. Didn't bother with them this year. Good work Glastonbury festival, a massive improvement.

Some of the long drops around the main stages were absolutely disgusting on the Sunday - but overall, ye, they were pretty good this year.

Didn't seem to be many cups about for the compost toilets which surely defeats the point a bit? That would be my only complaint.

bar the odd one where someone had seem to emptied their entire body

My apologies, but the flush didn't work I'm afraid.

Joking aside, much better this year. Even had my first ever long drop poo as they were clean enough to take a seat.

One massive improvement I noticed was that there was always hand sanitizer available. Last year they were all near enough empty by Saturday.

Quid at poundies gets you 3 pocketsized bottles, or about 3 times what you need for glastonbury.  Some of this is our personal responsibility, I was frequently handing squirts of mine to people.  At which point did people stop buying sanitizer as an essential?
