No way, I lived up in Stocksbridge for a while a few years ago

Small world, there are some great hills there, I am originally from Wortley the other side of the valley. I remember walking up to the swimming baths in Stockbridge as a child, that was a proper hill! Latterly lived in Crookes until we moved to Cornwall.

Visited this time last year and the ground is so much drier

Good to hear. Anytime I hear the ground is dry on the farm, whether that's March or June, I feel a little calmer inside as my worst nightmare is 2016 mud levels, or god forbid, even worse than that.

It's been a fairly dry winter by recent standards, much drier than the last couple of winters thats for sure... albeit I've lived in Kent and Derbyshire during this time so quite a way from Worthy Farm.

2016 keeps coming up as a bad year for mud and I always get confused. I don’t recall it being that bad.

Just had a look at some pictures from that year. Seems my brain has filtered it out

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
