i had a hard time thinking of what song he'd close with - he doesn't have that signature tune that always closes his set like many acts do. Blood On The Leaves was a brilliant one on the last tour but i doubt he'll use it as a closer again (probably close the main set with it)

He releases a new signature song with every pissing album, the slippery, creative dickhead just wont stay still for long enough.

all these people not suggesting Cold :fie:

I may have been on some stuff, but the intro and song seemed to change my life at wireless

the Cruel Summer stuff just never clicked with me tbh. even at Wireless i was a bit like 'humph' when he played three songs from it (and I Don't Like) one after the other at the start of his set

I didn't realise he still played Hey Mama as often as he does, I'd be more than happy for that to make an appearance.

don't think he played it much (if at all) on his last tour, but he definitely used to close his shows a lot with it and dedicate the shows to his mum. would be a welcome addition but i woudn't hold your breath - the setlists gonna be a tight squeeze as it is what with the new album material

Agree about most of it, but Cold is tune.

My sentiments exactly, the live version is awesome as well

DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT STYLE N***A I MUTHAFUCKIN EMBARASS YOU

Clique and Mercy are also decent bangers, pretty unexceptional in the kanye catalogue. New God Flow is decent as well. By far his worst album though, only listened to the whole thing once.

Stopped after a couple of tracks of Cruel Summer, but not heard Cold, might give it a go.

sound is shit but the live version is quality, studio version also cool. Instrumental is amazing and he gets proper angry kanye.

Edit: sound is really shit, but hopefully someone else can vouch for me that it sounds awesome live, dunno why that video had like 150,000 views or whatever

i don't even consider it a Kanye album - far too many shite guest verses from shite rappers all over it. the ones you mentioned (which are essentially Kanye songs) are decent but the rest is fairly poor

I thought I saw it reappear on a recent setlist, or did I imagine that?

He's definitely getting to the point where his setlists are having to be very selective, which is a shame.

Just watched a live clip of Hey Mama, holy shit, that's emotional. He needs to finish Glastonbury on that one, it would be a defining moment.

yep just watched it in the other Kanye thread (i love how many Kanye threads there are now) and it's emotional roller coaster. i doubt he will do but i'd absolutely love it. reckon he'll close with All Day for most of his next tour

It's not a Kanye album. It's a compilation album from artists on Kanye's label. Obvs as the head of the label and best artist, he features heavily on a lot of it.

I think it's pretty strong, with Clique, Mercy, Cold, New God Flow and I Don't Like.

Kanye should lean towards the early stuff IMO

All Day
Stronger
Black Skinhead
Can't Tell Me Nothing
Heard Em Say
Through The Wire
All Falls Down
Touch The Sky
Gold Digger
Heartless
Love Lockdown
Flashing Lights
Good Life

Power
Jesus Walks
Blood On The Leaves

saw him do this last year and it was brilliant, although i think he;'s far more likely to open with a new song this time round

Black Skinhead opening was amazing, i was on some stuff and the screaming wolves/dogs at the beginning drove me basically insane and then the beat came in and fuck me, everyone i was there with just went absolutely crazy.

Fuck, I'm so excited for glasto.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
