Not in the normal camping... or very few but I didn't see some. maybe the VIP!

There are few "quieter" areas during night time. Anyway, if you wanna go to sleep earlier, maybe some ear cups would be useful.

I slept so little this year that when I did try and have a nap I would twitch like mad and have wierd hallucinations.

Don't expect a quiet night in VIP camping. I was in one of the caravan's in the VIP camping and we were still close enough that the music at one of the bars was vibrating the caravan! And that went on until 6am!

Maybe the only real quite area is Family Camping, but you can go there only if you have an under 14 son/daughter with you

Is it worth paying more the vip/specific camping areas? Camped at beni before and it was awful, but camping seems more worthwhile at sziget than beni.... Just rather not end up in a shit area

@Uncle Liam I did have some hallucinations too... didn't take anything but I was so tired after Imagine Dragons-Placebo-Skrillex-Clean Bandit that we went to the Chill Garden to wait for Madeon (didn't know that he had canceled :/) and there there was "Thy Veils" a romanian band which songs gave me hallucinations! ^^

@Villa Rosie Camping was quite good but it's because we arrived sunday morning and found a great spot! If you plan to arrive on monday it will be more difficult.

Where would you recommend for shade and a bit of space (if such a place exists)

There are a lot of trees, practically everywhere don't worry about it! and they are tall trees so it's nice and you have your space! I really liked the place we were because it wasn't far from the Main Stage so we could go smoke or drink at the camp during the 30min between the concerts

If you want space you can still bring a gazebo (we had one but we were like...50 people!)

Is Sziget a festival that you would consider taking kids to? Although by next summer they will be 14 and 17 so probably wouldn't appreciate being called kids haha. Looking at the lineups I think the music would be more interesting to them than Latitude or Camp Bestival (although they enjoyed both of them)

It certainly struck me as a 'safe' and friendly festival, when I was there this year. Personally, I think it would be a great experience for them. The only real issue might be the lack of sleep, as it goes on all night, well into the morning - but they might handle that better than their parents!

Yep; despite all the drug and alcohol, I didn't see a fight in 8 days! As DaveyGravy mentions it, the lack of sleep really can be a problem (at some point on the chill garden I had hallucinations (music+tired, didn't take anything). It only stops at 6am... But what the hell totally worth it!

Despite my retirement this year, looks like I'll be going again next year, although ust for days 0 and -1. Subject to lineup.

The Wednesday generally has been the best for bands anyway the years I've been.

Sure! I saw a lot of kids and to make sure they have fun and can sleep, there's a family camping where only people with kids under 14 can go

Tickets sale has started. Now we know prices are:

• Early bird: 219€ -> 31 december
• Advance Round 1: 229€ -> 30 april
• Advance Round 2: 249€ -> 31 july
• Full Price: 269€ -> august

Sziget Italia facebook page said in a post that in the first two hours of selling Sziget sold the same amount of tickets sold last year in the first two months

I think they are and will be only available on official website and local partners websites like Sziget Italia, France, Netherlands, UK, Germany, Spain and others

Muse announced at a festival at the end of may (29-30-31). Is it still possible to see them in Europe in mid-August...?

The same festival also announced Metallica and Faith No More. Those 3 groups were in my top 5 headliners I was hoping for

They could stay in june (Glastonbury, Werchter...) and come back in mid-august... With Coldplay it's the band I want to see the most! Wait & See...
