First odds from William Hill, think Fleetwood Mac at 14/1 are a good price.. not much value anywhere else though, unless Neil can shed some light on them?

If Fleetwood Mac don't do it next year you have to wonder if they ever will. But do operations that size do one-off festivals? Are they still touring next year? I don't know.

Coldplay must be a reasonable bet - they'll be touring the shit out of the new album and won't have played for four years by then.

I suppose The Who have to be considered a possibility though I wouldn't be fussed.

Kate Bush would be great but seems so unlikely (file with Prince).

I would like to see D Mode do Sunday - think that would be a great fit.

Please not Iron Maiden/ACDC or any other lightweight heavy rock band though...

Having said that, he probably does have loose verbal agreement with three acts (I know he did at this point last year) - tho the reality is that the acts lined up now are rarely all the same acts that'll end up playing, because plans tend to change.

Sunday night appears to be the new slot for British bands to do their first pyramid stage headline slot..... Not sure who is likely at the moment, as long as it's not the 1975, who pre dolly were the worst live band I have seen, and I've watched the xfactor tour with fat Michelle.

Emily has told me that Michael took the final decision on Metallica as headliner, so he certainly still has meaningful input.

I can't be 100% sure, but I'd be quite surprised if there's not a lot of listening to each other's opinions over bands (because the difference in ages will sometimes give very different perspectives, I presume), with either one happy to go with the other's opinion at times - because Michael has said previously that Emily had made the Jay-Z decision.
