Does anyone watch Gogglebox? It's basically a show where they film people watching TV and film their reactions (it's better than it sounds). Anyway last night they showed people watching the Farage documentary.

Some people's reactions were worrying to say the least. They've been well and truly duped by that twat, all because he likes a pint and a smoke, "he's just like us isn't he?" . Morons.

Never ceases to amaze me that those wanting us out of Europe never stop to ask themselves if its such a good idea and is clearly a vote winner, why hasn't any party with a real chance of power jumped straight on the bandwagon and got us out already? I simply don't by the argument that we are governed by halfwits, to stupid to make the right decisions. Labour or Tory they all know what a disaster it would be and it would be totally irresponsible to advocate it.

There was a bit in the documentary i watched in total disbelief as the C4 'reporter' followed him around the EU parliament dodging security to peak at council chambers like schoolboys sneaking into the staffroom

Just the most incredible unprofessional publicity play. It's all speaking right to 'the people' and i really fear it'll result in a BIG swathe of the non-voting masses chucking their vote in without a thought about more than their leader's excellently aimed publicity

Look at the post just above, another sold on the concept that all our ills are down the EU. pretty much straight from the ukip hymnsheet

Not seen the C4 documentary they did on him but I just watched gogglebox (as an earlier poster said, it isn't as bad as it looks). It's worrying as most of the people featured seem to have been won over in some sense. It seems like C4 have really represented him as a 'normal' and likeable guy, which I fear can do nothing but good for him.

Not too worried yet though, as some of the people that were in support I him also had trouble watching two just married gay men kiss. Unbelievable.

I don't understand why people get so worked up about staying in the E.U?

Politicians keep telling us it is to do with our economy and all the exporting we do to Europe.

3/4 of everything we export to the E.U is Banking, Insurance and I.T based business and hardly anything to do with manufacturing.

80% of all our laws are created by The European parliament, rendering our own parliament ineffective.

You are not allowed by law to change a light fitting or a plug socket, unless you have had it checked by a qualified electrician.

Finally bringing to the British publics attention that we are heading in to a European superstate, when all we signed up for was a Common Market and the fact we pay 8 billion pound a year to be in a outdated club.

    • New Overmono album is... just good for me. Had high hopes which were later dashed a bit after listening to some of the singles but they brought me back around enough to appreciate some very nice work in there. https://music.apple.com/ie/album/pure-devotion/1894298100
    • I don't really worry about headliners (unless there's a real possibility of a once-in-a-lifetime artist landing for it) but I'm starting to feel a bit cold on the names floating around bar Fontaines.  Harry Styles and Sam Fender, I can see the value and commercially speaking, they've earned it.  Sabrina Carpenter is obviously popular enough to do it - but after she's headlined everywhere else and done Coachella earlier this year, is it not just a bit predictable to follow what other festivals have done?
    • Bollocks to “safe” headliners, bollocks to the masses. Get interesting, get risky, challenge people.
    • The Cure would be a dream, I can definitely see them doing a second run of festivals they may have missed this year and they seem the definitive Latitude act  If they do festivals next year maybe The Strokes could be a shout? Im stunned either them or Kings of Leon haven't played yet This is a great shout for names, youre right that CMAT is taking a year out though - we're like to know more in the autumn when festivals start making announcements  The only other act I'd really love to see is Idles headline the tent
