To be fair, did a Suede playlist based on their forest gigs...sounds bloody awesome. Only seen them a couple of times over the years. And De La Soul beforehand. Which will be incredible.

Ahhh....starting to get excited! Frightened Rabbit! Miles Kane! Happy Mondays! Not Tom Odell!

Coming home from work last night this came on the tranny. Much to my surprise, a huge grin came over me and I remembered seeing this at T last year. Did the whole - everyone sit on the grass then jump up thing - it was a sunny early evening slot ( perfect for Frank !! ) and it was really good at the time.

Would be pretty sure he will finish his set at KC with it and would be pretty sure he will nail it. I reckon I will probably be there to see it. I think Example will surprise me in the same way as Dizzy did a couple of years back and I was always happy with Suede on the Friday.

So......it may be the sunshine / cider or maybe just cause were getting closer but I think I`m up for the 3 headliners :beach::beach::beach:

He's a Libertarian which I guess is freedom in free will with a bit of a swing to the left and right as and when.

Jump the fence on Saturday and come see him, you'll enjoy Lochland5.

Quote from Frank "here's some things I'm not: 'Tory', 'conservative', or 'Republican'." He said his politics were "based on principles like democracy, individuality, equality of opportunity, distrust of power and, above all else, freedom, including economic freedom". He had shifted, he said, from being an anarchist in his 20s to now being a libertarian, and he called the BNP "repugnant … they are a socially rightwing/racist party, but their economic policies are pretty authoritarian leftwing. I happen to oppose them strongly for both of those reasons.""

"Economic freedom" is the freedom to be controlled by unregulated capital, which he is advocating though he clearly doesn't quite realise it.

The BNP is pretty much any socialist manifesto with two Nazi elements, the crime & punishment thing and the black/white thing. The rest of their manifesto is pretty much bog standard leftwing socialism.

After reading this again I feel I should clarify what I meant. This is a suggestion that Lochland5 jumps the fence to catch Frank. Not for festival goers to go round to Lochland5 and enjoy his company.

Sienna??? added to the Calling Out line up.

He's an Etonian wingnut dedicated to straw-man fantasies about the working class in order to overcome his Trustifarian survivor guilt, and I'll certainly skip his set, but it wouldn't make me boycott the weekend it's not like he's called for racial expulsions or something.

    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
