Stuart1000
Today's 'Track of the Day' on Radio 1 is the new single by Katy Perry... First act announced at 7:30am.
Stuart1000
One Direction opening the Main Stage on Saturday. Bastille also performing Love me or loathe em, that is a massive booking.
Rose-Colored Boy
One Direction and Bastille? Just needs Jake Bugg now and it's like Radio 1 just asked my nightmares which bands to book. 1D's booking means it all makes sense about only drip-feeding the line-up until the tickets had gone now though, of course. ScottishLad1
1D aren't headlining... according to the site anyway? http://www.bbc.co.uk/events/ep3g9r/performances Amazing booking, personal opinions aside Edited April 28, 2014 by ScottishLad1

harryomatic
This is a painful main stage so far
Bobinup
Lily Allen added. They could really do with someone who isn't 100% predictable but not getting my hopes up. Edited April 28, 2014 by Bobinup

Stuart1000
I'm still so surprised at the One Direction booking. That is huge. So they'll be flying over from Dublin after their show on the Friday night and then straight back again after the Big Weekend performance? ScottishLad1
These are some incredible bookings, no matter your personal opinions. 1D and Kings of Leon opening festivals?
Stuart1000
Sunday lineup so far: Paolo Nutini Rita Ora The 1975 John Newman The Vamps Kings of Leon (And I'd put my house on Katy Perry being the final headliner, especially with her new single being 'Track of the Day' today)
sean_thorburn
Anyone think it could be Arctic Monkeys instead of Katy Perry? Playing Finsbury Park Friday and Saturday but I'd say they're more likely to play 3 in a row than Katy Perry is

Stuart1000
One extra act on the Sunday in the form of Tinie Tempah. I guess Sunday's headliner is doing a shorter set than normal...
sean_thorburn
Wishful thinking! Some said Grimshaw said that the other headliner made Coldplay look 'very indie'

Stuart1000
It's my birthday on the Sunday of Big Weekend. Do you think Katy will sing 'Birthday' to me? (Probably not.)
Rose-Colored Boy
Fair to say they spent less money on the Sunday than the Saturday? Saturday has 100% high-slot main stage bookings and Sunday has, er, The Vamps, lol. Your wish has been granted. Playing Saturday on the Main Stage. Rose-Colored Boy
Kasabian, the Glastonbury headliners, on the INMWT stage??? Not a fan but the guy who secured that booking deserves a knighthood or something.
Stuart1000
That is a huge booking. That tent will be rammed. Edited April 28, 2014 by Stuart1000
PGTIps
from memory she only played 40 minutes or so at the iTunes festival thing, Coldplay will do the full hour and a half though.
