shauna11795
Undecided... More of my friends are going Leeds but it's also a bit of shithole... So which one do I choose?
dentalplan
Leeds unless you want to be in a crowd of people only bothered about getting on telly.
Babyquack
I've only been to Reading so I can only tell you one side of the story. But as dentalplan says, go to Leeds. Reading is full of little shites.

lightning1000
Personally prefer the arena layout at Leeds. It also feels more like a festival as its away from everything. There really isn't much difference though. Just go to whichever one is easier for you to get to.

Brumhee
Over the past 3 years I have done 2 Reading and 1 Leeds. I prefer Leeds. Found the people in the campsites friendlier and the atmosphere overall better. Reading tended to be people who want to be able to say they have 'done Reading festival'. Its a shame as when I first went to Reading in 2002 it was a very different crowd, but now seems to have been a victim of its own success and is now a trendy place to be. mrtourette
I think the idea that one of these is the 'true' or 'authentic' R&L experience is pretty laughable.
2rare2die
I think the idea that one of these is the 'true' or 'authentic' R&L experience is pretty laughable. I've not seen anyone claim that, but yeah they're pretty much the same I should imagine. I only go to Leeds because it's closer, and because it has more gravy. Brumhee
I think the idea that one of these is the 'true' or 'authentic' R&L experience is pretty laughable. Not sure if this is in relation to my comments or not, but apologies if it is as that's not my intention. I just find Leeds to be a better crowd of people personally, and find that Reading is more for those that want to be 'seen' at a festival rather than Leeds which feels more like people are there to enjoy the festival. Either one you go to, you are going to get a full experience of the festival and have a great time.
