A mate of mine, who despite constant reminders from me, left it to sunday to register and had his photo rejected!! He has now missed the midnight deadline. Has anyone successfully got Glasto to sort out their registration after the deadline??

I guess not, but thought I'd ask anyway!!

Cheers

It gave a whole list of reasons the photo could have been rejected for including "might not be of a person............or the gender does not appear to match the name" which is going to me so much ammunition to take the piss out of him forever!! But doesn't say exactly why.

The picture looks fine to me. The only thing is he took it on his iphone and registered through his phone, so maybe its the wrong format?? But I'm sure there's nothing he can do now though???

Ah, the first of many 'my friend didn't follow the rules because he's a fucking lazy idiot, how can I get around it so he's got the same chance as the people who did get off their arse and follow the rules?' threads.

My brother did the same thing last year. Was rejected because he took the photo on his phone and it was landscape not portrait. Didn't speak to Glasto about it as ultimately it was his fault for not reading the guidelines and leaving insufficient time to resolve it. If they have rejected it unfairly, then you might have a case

Glastonbury has a built in "can you be arsed filter"

If you wait til the last minute, didn't read the rules, and only register then... you can barely be arsed.

I don't want people who can't be arsed at Glastonbury.

Yeah, i'm afraid i dont have alot/any sympathy for your mate, my mates left it last minute, so i made them take 5-6 pics and send them all to me, just to be on the safe side, 5 got rejected of my mates 6 this morning, with only one being good enough.

It pays to be on the ball.

the registration process was the final nail in the coffin for a lot of people. A lot of people who made the festival into what it is now.

It's a necessary evil, nothing more. Seeing some of the stuff posted in this thread is embarrassing.

The registration system is the final nail in the coffin following the previous nails of accepting payment over the internet, accepting payment by card over the phone, accepting payment prior to the festival in cash, accepting payment at the festival in cash and of course the original nail of actually expecting people to pay to enter. As each nail was relentlessly hammered in by the corparate hand wielding the hammer of injustice and elitism the festival has lost it's way more and more.
