The Pretty Reckless is another band we might get. They played in 2012 and Taylor Momsen wore leather boots and a Metallica t-shirt on stage, nothing else. I don't care how your music is if you can be as sexy as Taylor Momsen :P

I think there were some options for subs (the National, Portishead, Elbow for example) but RW choose not to book them or offered (relative) little money. So either they are really working for bands that didnt announce a tour yet or they are playing it tough on negotiations because they have the better hand as they dont need to sell tickets.

The National have really stepped up this year and now seem like a band which would prefer to headline festivals over subbing at others, that and they played last year so I reckon they were always more likely for Pukkelpop. They've not got any festival dates in July as well, just June and August.

Someone said on here that Portishead don't like the festival after a bad experience the last time they played so that's why they won't be around.

Elbow I think are quite likely as there aren't many other bands, they've not announced loads of dates so far so I wouldn't be surprised if they settle for them, that being said, they're not subbing at other European festivals (Southside, Optimus) so they might just be announced for a day slot on the main stage.

The Pinkpop line-up looks amazing. Rock Werchter really need to step up their game. Rolling Stones, Metallica, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Editors, White Lies, Limp Bizkit, Biffy Clyro, Rob Zombie, White Lies, Epica, Ghost, Mastodon, Flogging Molly, Ed Kowalczyk, Robert Plant and Avenged Sevenfold.....

I've never seen Ghost so I'd check them out.

I'm not asking for Stones. I just feel there are so many bands that RW could have signed but decided not to for one reason or another. This is specially annoying given the fact that there does not seem to be that many good bands touring.....

The only band that Rock Werchter have really missed out on to pinkpop are Arcade Fire(who aren't even touring the month RW is on), who will probably headline next year anyway.

I don't think you can consider The Rolling Stones as missing out as they have got them at their more suitable festival and if anyone really expected them that's just silly. Yes Pinkpop have them but they aren't a band that should be expected because other festivals have them.

    • The Great Fete Festival (Sunday Only) Ocean Colour Scene day on Tickets For Good.
    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
