Rock Werchter 2014

Bands that are striked through shouldn't be expected, the underlined ones have Belgian gigs about a month before Werchter and are therefor uncertain.

Think it'll be more of Kasabian, Florence + The Machine, Warpaint, White Lies, Disclosure, Rudimental, Deftones, ... We still have a lot of dance and Belgian acts to go as well.

So do you think that Kasabian and Florence will be the sub-headliners we've been waiting for?

Isn't it a big promotions\upgrade for them?

Anyway, how could it be that last year it took so long for them to sell out the Festival, and this year they're very close already? Last year they started with 6 legit Werchter headliners (Green Day, KoL, Blur, Rammstein, Depech Mode, Editors) and at least another proper sub-headliner in Nick Cave ( if you count out the National as a proper sub. I know both were announced late though). This year they got 4 headliners with just one undebateable proper sub in placebo (because I read here that many of you could see another act between the Black Keys and Pearl Jam, same as with the National and Greed Day last year). I also read most of you count other acts like Franz Ferdinand, Jack Johnson and Interpol as subs in the barn or third/fourth down in the main Stage.

So how they manage to do so well this year, ticket-wise?

Actually we can say Blur is pretty much Damon Albarn over there. (No loss.)

Robert Plant for Nick Cave. (Some might say Robert is better, but doesn't matter.)

MGMT for Vampire Weekend. (In my opinion.)

I think there's still 2 main subs and 1-2 Barn headline missing.

The last shape that it'll take is more important.

Apparently it's no longer possible to buy weekend tickets... Confirmation of that + a batch of new names tomorrow?

Perhaps it was that what made them say there would be an announcement this week? Them being certain that weekend tickets would be gone somewhere this week?
