Sitting here with a smile on my face reminding myself of the brilliant of Bobby Womacks set.

Took his illness into consideration and sunk into a Brothers Pear through most of the set. Was such an emotional gig for me and the guy is an amazing performer for his age, shame he just sort of shuffled out at the end of it but still it was a brilliant way to end my festival and I reckon I made a great decision skipping most of The Pumkpins to go see him even though I was split up from my friends for the rest of the evening.

Agreed I enjoyed his set a lot.! I skipped seeing Gary Clark Jr (whom I really wanted to see) and left my mates to go see Bobby (other then the group next to me whom seem more interested in laughing gas and talking all through) I had a fantastic time.

Yeah after his set with The Bravest Band there was a half hour break then he came on with other band and smashed out the hits starting with Across 110th Street. Didn't mind too much about the interlude, didn't seem like half an hour at all to be honest.

was a peach of a gig, truly fantastic, topped off by Albarn and his crew (Rita Ora, Jaime Winstone, Alfie Allen) who had decided that watching Bobby for the second half from the side of the stage wasnt special enough for them, they decided that they were going to come and stand right in front of the crowd barrier, spoiling the front row people's view! However security told them to sit down and kept telling them to sit down and they were most displeased (w*nkers!).

I loved his performance and his set list, but for me the crowd killed the atmosphere- I was stood by people who were just yapping loudly the entire set, often with their back to him, taking photos of themselves for Facebook. Annoying!

Still he was on great form- I'd been worried about how he'd be due to a few folk saying he was ropey these days. I was also so happy when he did a cover of 'a change is gonna come'- one of the greatest beginnings of any song ever! But for me the crowd was lacking a bit and took away from his performance, which is a real shame.
