Why wouldnt they get another chance?

I thought next years headliners were booked already, so they would get next near. The year after Mumfords might take out to do a new album or something. Eventually they would get another chance yeah but I just didnt think it would be in the next few years

The thing is mumford are going to headline all the festivals in the next few years, its going to be harder to miss them than actully seeing them.

One of those bands that could headline all the majors festivals like muse, travis and the killers.

Cant see it though, to go all wayiam on you lot I think v next year and finish of at reading in 2015.

2015 wouldn't be too bad, I'll have just finished my first year of uni and hopefully I'll have some mates who'll be willing to go abroad. As long as it isn't next year, not sure if anyone will go to a Europe fest with me next summer yet

As much as I agree with you bud, I reckon they'll need Babel's follow up to play another so quick after, and as I think they hinted at it not long ago, that might not be far off. They will sell out within a few years though. The thing is, it's been proven they can't easily sell out events at £60+ on their own a little bit with T - albeit half a day but that's all you'd get at a big outdoor show of theirs. They wouldn't instantly sell out day tickets at R&L but I can see it happening, know one really sells out instantly at R&L now as however good the headliner is the card doesn't justify itself.

V and IOW next year, I dont think Reading would go for them though. Would they fit into R&L's demographic...if they even know what it is now

except for V and IOW aren't going to share the same headers. IOW may with T and maybe Glasto though it's rare but not the same one and T and Glasto essentially pretty much happens.

Reading will not share with anyone except for T - UK festival wise, or if they do, it's silly and strange. V and Glasto won't share either.

You pretty much as this stage could look at T and IOW sharing, T and Glasto almost defo sharing. R&L and T does happen quite a lot, T has been known a fair bit to share a header with T, Glasto and either R&L or V.

It was nuts one year, Glasto had The Verve & KoL headlining, then at V it was The Verve subbed by KoL.

Ah, I didn't actually remember that V and Glasto had shared as recent as that. In which case, after having a look, although the last 3 times there was nothing, this can't be ruled out. 2004 although T, V and Glasto all had Muse, only Glasto and V had them as headliners.

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
    • Dream Blink day    Blink - Turnstile - Neck Deep - The Story So Far
    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
    • The Smashing Pumpkins are also a shout
