As you said, its very unrealistic, not just in the acts themselves (bowie, daft punk) but the positions like bombay bicycle club headlining arena - they would pack that out.. but you did say unrealistically so my comments pretty invalid :P

Also imagine the clashes! Daft punk/qotsa/bbc - ouchhh!

Hmmm, yeah it was more of a kind of ultimate line up, that they could have at the moment kind of thing, rather than this is my predictions for next year!

Are Bombay Bicycle Club any bigger now than Chase and Status were a few years ago though?

And yes some nasty clashes, but mainly because I enjoy most genres of music, tried to get different kinds of artists against each other.

It was fun to write it up anyway!

What I'd do is book several more guitar acts (not because I like them, although it is a plus) taking a share of Reading's demographic who aren't particularly happy with this year's line up however still keeping pop punters happy by booking big pop and electronic acts. Another difference would be to focus on more forward-thinking up-and-coming acts to not just stop V's line up from looking stale but also giving the line up a sense of style.
