Is Nick Cave as a sub the wrong choice?

holy crap I hadnt even heard of it til you said that.

"The song is a bit more intense and discordant than many of the songs from that record, laying a vaguely demented spoken-word piece from Cave over an urgent drone"

I need to hear this urgently!

Animal X - thank you so much for posting, it's awesome! I'm not sure about Tom Waits but this is my favourite kind of Cave song. In fact I'd go so far as to say that I prefer it to everything on the album. Just listened to it three times in a row. Is it available as a download?

Thanks also for posting the Coachella stuff. I had struggled to find a decent link. NOW I get what everyone was going on about with regards to Jubilee Street live! Simply mind-blowing. Not sure if it's the best opener for a festival though.

Christ I'm excited now! So much so that I'm coining a new catchphrase:

NFC NFC (Nick fucking Cave, no fucking compromise)

So..Was going through some Nick Cave stuff last night and decided to learn how to play 'into my arms' as it seemed pretty simple. Earphones on and learning the chord sequence, rythm and voicing when I heard a bunch of girls giggling. Turns out I left the bedroom window wide open and had an audience out front...

#Embarassing.

I just can't decide who to see between Nick Cave and the Smashing pumpkins it's gonna to be my hardest decision of June ! If I pick Nick Cave quite possible mean watching him alone but he would edges it musically for me even if I have only been listening for a few weeks he has his claws into me ! Just ordered the murder ballads for the car

I'm hoping against hope that they'll realise that, wait, actually, The Smashing Pumpkins are much bigger than The XX and let them headline The Other Stage.

I mean, there's capturing the zeitgeist and there's...the band who recorded Zeitgeist.

Not too sure what my point is. But essentially, if they were to tailor the lineup to my specific needs that'd be fine.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
