Is Nick Cave as a sub the wrong choice?

I have this fantasy that Mumford and Sons will be really fucking awful headliners and the nation will come to the collective realisation that they are completely rubbish. But really, if it was going to happen, it would have done by now

I'm just failing to see the reasoning behind the Nick Cave into Mumford thing... I'll probably miss him now cause of the likely Pumpkins clash (who I've never seen before & will already be in the vicinity for)

There's probably not that much of an overlap in the fanbase venn diagram, but I'm in that camp as I do like large chunks of both band's output. I'll still probably be heading SLAPHEAD-wards as I've not seen them since about 1999 and I have tickets for THE COMBOVER later on in the year.

Brother, My Scalp Is Empty. More News From No Hair, etc. etc.

A clash is still TBC, but on the surface of it, it does look quite likely if they're both subbing their respective stages.

If the Pumpkins headline Other above The XX the clash disappears, in which case PIL - > Cave - > Pumpkins becomes the order of the day.

He's the only person who can make a combover look even vaguely sexy. But what else can he do? He's quite committed to that hairstyle now.

The clash is not 100% confirmed. Don't we know for certain that they're both on Sunday though? It would be funny if it wasn't even happening given the amount of time I've devoted to it.

You say that as if they two are dependant on each other though?

The majority of the crowd won't be up for it & will be waiting for Mumford & Sons to come on. It'll be full of radio 1 listeners talking over the top asking "is this that guy who sang with Kylie?"
