Much as I understand people wanting a bit of shade, I have to say that 2010 was fantastic and as a result I'd go NFR NFC all the way. I always thought I'd struggle in non-step intense heat after getting sunstroke in 2009 but once you relax and go with it (and take precautions!), I've realised it's really the only way.

I'm lucky as in all the years I've been (2008-2011) the weather hasn't been too bad. Last year was the worst I've had and, looking back, I really didn't make the most of it as a result. The mud and rain stopped me from venturing as far as I might and got to be a bit of a pain at times.

So bring on the sun!

I seem to remember a few people saying that there have actually been much more hotter/drier GF's than wet, muddy, cold ones. And if that's the case I'm all up for keeping it in June.

Yea spot on RebeccaD, after many years going to GF, 2010 was the icing on the cake for me. If it's excessively wet, cold and muddy it really isn't a festival imo but a struggle to stay warm, dry and happy.

Is it just me that doesn't remember 2011 weather as bad? It was fine most of the time, hot on Sunday. Just a bit of rain here n there. Maybe it's because I did 2007 - that was bad!!

I know 2011 wasn't that bad in the grand scheme of things (I have friends who went in 2007!), but it did rain a lot on the Wednesday and all day Friday. By Sunday the mud was pretty tiresome! But yes I've been lucky so far. Long may it continue!

Don't think it would make any difference holding it in another summer month. I've been to festivals in August which were wet and cold, and yet one year i went camping in March and got sunburnt! The british summer really is unpredictable and no time is a dead cert for nice weather!

I'd much prefer a baking hot festival You can sit wherever you want when you want to stop for food, or take a nap anywhere if you're still not fully recovered from the night before. Having been to Benicassim and camped twice, a hot tent doesn't worry me at all (There the bands only start in the evening, so play all night which means sleeping in a tent in 90 degree daytime heat) in this country.

funnily enough, after the long inferno days of 2010 the very early hours between 2 and 4am were really really cold.

I'd actually rather like a snowy glastonbury. In a weird sort of way. Better than raining anyhow!

I've 2 festivals under my belt, Glasto 2011 and Penn 2012, which was like the Somme (will try to find a pic) I am owed a scorcher!
