UK tour announced today, if they're still struggling for a 3rd headliner then surely they will at least consider them

Just realised it was only two warm up shows they announced today for the Teenage Cancer Trust gig.. but still a possibility

We already had a massive Kasabian v Arctics session on the headliners thread. Let's not do that again.

I have no doubt, however, that Kasabian could do a decent job. Quite fun live, decent back catalogue, like the festival. But it won't look like a killer headliner to the general pubilc, and the musos will be livid (just watch some of the reaction their name will get on this thread).

Kasabian need to take a step back from all the festivals they play, wait till we start missing them, then headline in style.

Great band and great live, but they play festivals way too much, so people get to used to their constant availability.

oh c'mon ... they're far less festival whores than plenty of other acts their size.

Funny innit? I'm generally pretty tolerant, but there's something about kasabian that really gets my goat. I don't know what it is, there's plenty of bands, I'm sure, with worse music, with worse stage presence, with worse everything, but there some combination in Kasabian that really winds me up.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
