Hidden recommendations

In 2008 on our way to one of the stages the heavens opened and we ran into the Queens Head bar, where they had Hip Hop Karaoke.It was such a laugh and had one of the bet unplanned afternoons that I have had at the festival,so much so we totally forgot about the band we were on our way to see and so glad we did.

So any body else got any hidden gems they would like to share,because I plan to spend more time at the other stuff and only go to see the bands I really want to see.

I'm sure that this has probably been done and flogged to death but please indulge me or better still if there is an old link to this subject.Cheers

BBoth down towards the naughty corner... Apple Smuggerlz bar, crawl through a hatch (I think) & there as an ace DJ out the back in a beer garden. Also found a small "nightclub" made up as a wood/forest.

Of course I could be making both of those up in the state I was in.

I've discovered many secret areas over the years at glasto that i'm still not actually sure were real / were all in my mind.

The Underground Piano bar is a favourite of mine, beautiful atmosphere in there - candle lit (I think...) with a bar that I seem to remember severed strong snakebite

This is my first glasto coming up are these ace sounding little venues in shang ra la etc open in the day as well for a sneaky drink ?

I went to this as well. It was on the way up to the stone circle in the left hand side of the field. You would never notice it was there though as there is just a gap in the hedge. The front of it was an old caravan and I think it was set in to some rocks or something. We tried to go back in to it in 2011 but there was a massive queue outside so we didnt bother. It was quite funny though. There was some sort of theatrical play taking place when we went in.

The Rabbit Hole also has a secret area but you may just have to answer a riddle or take a carrot

If you wander through the badlands at night - naughty area - you can tell where there are secret areas as if you peer up through the gaps in the roof you can see marques and suss that underneath must be a hidden area

there were a number of doors there last year that looked like you could not open them but they did if you knocked.....

If you wander through the badlands at night - naughty area - you can tell where there are secret areas as if you peer up through the gaps in the roof you can see marques and suss that underneath must be a hidden area
