Have you been to a Scottish festival, T in particular?

A huge amount of the audience there couldnt care less who was playing and what spot.. they are their for a piss up.

Rockness will sell the same amount of tickets as they usually do.. not for the line up but because many see it as a better festival than T for a variety of reasons.

I dont think you can compare them anyway. T has twice as many stages/punters and is twice as expensive (based on cheap tickets)

What DF do to other promoters in Scotland is nothing short of blackmail and one day it will bite them on the arse. Not to mention the bleeding of their 'loyal' customers

If the headliners are Guetta, Chase and Status/Plan B and maybe a decent guitar based act (say Jack White or QOTSA) I'd say that it will sell quite well, in Guetta whether you like or hate him (im in the latter group) he's one of the biggest commercial names going, and the other two are dependable festival acts that are due the step up

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
