nah, that it sounds like there's not been talks with Glastonbury as far as she's aware.

I would wager a reasonable sum that Glastonbury have at least fired off an email or two. Almost certainly. Why wouldn't they?! A big touring band in Europe around that time, ticking numerous boxes. Were I one of the Eavii (!!!), I would have at least brought the subject up.

There's always been interest, it just that Michael was unaware of it. Was only after the rumours from 2 years ago, and subsequent hype (hats off to efestivals) that he became aware...He listens and he follows...

The idea that neither parties have attempted to contact each other since then, now 6 months from the event, with both parties having been quoted an interest is, as we all know, ridiculous..

1. Booked

2. Had a chat and are waiting for either side to give in to their price/ small print (e.g. having to headline)

I think it's far less certain that they've already been in contact than you're thinking.

Glastonbury will have its targets for this year with bigger bands, and if FM weren't on that original list of targets and those original targets all look like falling into place, then it doesn't necessarily follow that they'd chase FM.

Don't forget, while it's unlikely that everything was signed and sealed at the time, Michael has said they've got this year's headliners sorted - which means at the very least that who they wanted had been identified. Would FM have been on that list? I'm far from sure they would have been.

it seems pretty clear that the Stones were on that original 'wanted' list of headliners.

I'd guess that Stone Roses were also one of the original choices. It makes a lot of sense that they would be.
