This site claims that they will play Way out west festival in Sweden in august:

http://www.festivalrykten.se/the-knife-sags-vara-klar-for-way-out-west/

Quick translation: They're backed by the same company that runs Way Out West, similar story as when Way out west got Refused last year as an exclusive when every festival in Sweden wanted them.

Which would eliminate them from the 2 biggest festivals in Sweden, Bråvalla Festival and Peace & Love, which both happen to be on the same weekend as Glastonbury.

coincidence? i think not!

hmmm :S It seems like they edited that text? Now you can read this:

"We’re also very pleased to announce the welcome return of psychedelic bliss merchants The Flaming Lips playing a UK festival exclusive set, off the wall Swedish art-pop duo The Knife, rap music revolutionaries Wu-Tang Clan the unpredictably chameleonic Bombay Bicycle Club playing an English festival exclusive set and neo-soulsters The Roots playing a UK Festival exclusive set."

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
