Resale tickets

I stupidly missed the cut off date for registration. What do you recon the chances of getting tickets in the resale will be? Anyone ever had any luck? Thanks for your replies.

I've got tickets for mates the past 2 Glastos in the resale including the tiny last May resale and to be honest I've got them loads quicker than in the initial sale so don't give up hope!!

You chances of getting a ticket int he resale are 50/50.

You either do or you don't.

I have got tickets twice in the resale though.

I've tried once before, and was sucessful. Took about 30 minutes. Good luck.

Got 10 tickets in the resale last year. It was the first time we'd needed it. It did seem a lot easier to get through but when you think that 100,000+ people are no longer trying that kinda makes sense.

Biggest factor is how many go on resale.

Are you sure you are not still registered? Worth checking.

I got resale tickets for the last 2. For the last one I ended up on a coach as that was all that was left. From what I've read, this was the case with lots of other people. I think that if I miss out again on Sunday and end up going for resale tickets, I'll just go straight for the coach option just to make sure.

There's also the issue that I think sometimes rthe smaller resales aren;'t announced on the glasto sire/twitter so you need to just be checking all the time!!

as far as I can remember, there weren't any ad-hoc sales last time between the main sale in Oct and the main resale in April - so I'm guessing they don't happen any more.

I can see you went in 2009, are you sure you are not still registered? This paragraph is on the registration website, so you may still be registered. Might be worth checking if you know your reg number and post code at that time

"If you registered for the 2008 or 2009 Festival and opted to save your details, or registered for the 2011 Festival and opted not to save your details, you will have received an email in July 2011 giving you the option to extend your registration. If you did not receive this email, or did not opt to extend your registration, you will need to re-register"

I have tried for tickets 4 times in the main sale, and been successful twice (one of which I had to settle for coach tickets). So, a 50% success rate

In the subsequent resale, I was successful on both occassions. Once within a minute, the other having to settle for coach tickets again after all of the standard tickets had gone. 100% :-)

So on my relatively small sample, I would say you are twice as likely to get tickets in the resale than in the main sale...

In 2007 my brother lost his reg details on the day, I got my ticket in the first sale then a ticket for him in the resale and both within 10-20 mins.

I know I probably was REALLY lucky but I have this theory that the resale is easier as it's not as well promoted

I've managed to get tickets twice in resales, although the second time I had to go with a coach package. In actual fact the coach package worked out brilliantly as it was so easy to get into the festival.

So a small sample size for me too, but 2 out of 2 aint bad.

I do think if you're really determined then you have a good chance, especially if you keep an eye out for mini resales. A tool such as www.followthatpage.com might be useful.

PS- Forgot to say, worth trying to register now if you haven't already. A friend of mine apparently forgot, tried to register the day after the cut-off and was successful
