Just read an Angle interview where he basically says his contract is up at TNA in Sept and he will be joining WWE and then retire. He backtracks almost as if theres a chance the WWE deal falls through and says he would be happy if he ends up staying in TNA.

I think if his contract runs through til Sept, he may have some time off then turn up at Royal Rumble

He seems to be just assuming WWE would offer him a deal, and it's not sure that they would. The guy is an accident waiting to happen and WWE might not want any part of that. This played a HUGE part in him getting told where to go last time.

He'd probably take the lesser schedule this time though, so it's not out of the question.

I'm surprised how far Rollins has come actually. Before Xmas I was saying to my pals that he'd probably be the one left behind from The Shield as Ambrose is a great heel and Reigns is the typical big guy that Vince likes but Rollins has really brought his star up afew notches this year.

I've been reading online that the plan for this Shield Evolution fued is to feed into a Reigns HHH match possibly for Summerslam or Survivor Series. Also,Batista is taking time off after Extreme Rules. He's not advertised for any live events after.

Seth Rollins is the whole package. His mic work has improved massively. My favourite wrestler on the roster today.

Rollins was so money on NXT (I thought he was going to get a call-up on his own and would have been deserving), but he's been in the Shield for so long now that I've forgotten how damn good he is on his own.

Naw a bad shout really. WWE might naw do it because there's no real point to it, but I guess if Sting says "I want to retire in WWE", that might be a good enough reason to do it.

Of course, we could have Brock Lesnar beat him. Two retirements in two Manias if Taker retires. :D

It's supposedly a match that The Rock has wanted for a long time. If rumours and dirtsheets are to be believed, The Rock vs. Goldberg was originally planned for WM19, but they couldn't get him signed in time or something to that effect. And the rumours are that at WM20 & WM21, Rocky was really pushing for matches with Randy Savage & Sting. But Vince wouldn't have Savage back for the same unknown reasons as his exclusion from the HoF, and Sting wouldn't sign with the WWE back then.

So I think The Rock would be the next option for Sting if Taker isn't up for it.

Lesnar v Sting, that would be horrible.

As would The Rock beating Sting with his w*nky sharpshooter. Instead of Stings Scorpion Death Lock.

Depending on what happens with Bryan next year, Id have Lesnar v Kurt Angle at next years Mania.

Id have John Cena v Sting to be honest. But I think Orton could actually do a good match v Sting, if Orton is still heel in a years time.

If Kurt Angle returns I see him vs. Bryan at WM31, and what a match that would be. I'd be all for Brock vs. Angle though, one of my favourite rivalries of all time, that Iron man match and the WM19 main event are two of my favourite matches of all time.

John Cena vs. Sting is also something I could see happening, which I wouldn't be opposed to. But I'd rather see him face The Undertaker over anyone else, the storytelling would be fantastic.

This is Vince who wanted to do an angle where he got his daughter pregnant, which she said he was desperate to do for a long time but she just kept refusing and then he suggested Shane which she also shot down....

How many times has Vince got a boner from he's beaten him with his own move! Hey, Survivors 97.

Probably Rock would shit all over it though and refuse to do that.

All was just BS talking anyway, it won't go down that way.

Nearly done with my Top WWE PPV Matches of the 1990s. I'm gonna move onto top ECW PPV matches after that. Then WWE 2000s matches. And then WCW/NWA PPV matches. And then 2010s so far.

I'll move onto their Vault/Old School/TV stuff after that. Enjoying the Network's vast array of stuff. Unreal content for the price you pay for it.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
