Anyone heard any more about WWE staging a PPV here this year?

they won't be holding one here this year.

as for the show tonight expected most of the results - one or two going the different way but meh.

the crowd was dead after taker punk, completely stole the show.

and for fucks sake when are they going to let ziggler cash in.

that main event was shitter than last year, "lets be in headlocks half the match then the other half counter each others finishers".

set up nicely for once thrice in a lifetime.

I cant comment on the crowd cus I was in a pub that was loud as hell, great atmosphere, but fuck me did that wrestlemania suck. The main event was one of the worse matches ive ever seen, it was simplistic as fuck. Whole undercard was rushed, even Swagger - Del Rio only went 10 minutes and they still had to cut a match!

Taker - Punk was decent but I prefered HHH - Taker last year myself, others disagree.

HHH - Lesnar started strong but the finish dragged big time.

and thats it... The Rock is wrestling at Extreme Rules so Rock v Cena 3?

heard a rumour they tried to make the other matches not look as good so cena rock appeared to be better than it was.

punk is most likely taking time off, and rock has his rematch clause so possible yeah.

Taker/Punk was fucking amazing. 5th year in a row the deadman has stole the show.

Lesnar/HHH . Massive dissapointment. It wasn't a bad match but it wasn't mania quality. Crowd was dead, I just don't think HHH and Lesnar work together.

Rock/Cena. I had no expectatons but I thought it was alright. Not great and not terrible.

The Shield match was solid, Surprised Ryback lost (Fucked all my bets haha)

Surprised there were no backstage segments at all. What was that all about?

Q uite enjoyed the even as a whole. The Taker vs Punk match being the highlight. The main event was awful, essentially it was two men contiually trying to hit their finishing moves. Boring.

So the segments that showed The Rock and John Cena couldn't have been taken out no?

And P Diddy and those generic wwe advertisement videos they show.

Feel for Miz/Barret. Didn't see it but heard it was good considering the amount of time it got.

As I said above overall a good show but quite a forgettable mania.

The problem with last night is that I have no interest in seeing raw tonight.

they could have cut one or two of them out but they were trying to build it up to epic proportions so that's obviously why they did it.

punk injured himself with that diving elbow onto the spanish announce table as well. heard he was due to take a bit of time off anyway.

also cena has changed the side panels on the belt.

I just don't understand the need to do that when everyone watching has already paid for the show.

I just feel generally let down by the show... other than Punk-Taker (note that it isn't obviously isn't taker who is in such bad condition he needs to fill a match with 50% lying down *cough tripleh cough*) none of the matches were spectacular, the undercard felt too short, literally no storyline advancement....

The 2 tag matches were fun however :)

Holy shit if true but could easily be bullshit?

The Rock was scheduled to be confronted by Brock Lesnar on tonight's Raw episode, however The Rock is no where to be found.

Raw's original script was set to feature The Rock opening the show with a promo about losing the WWE title to John Cena. This promo would have led to Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman confronting Rock and laying him out, planting the seeds for a future pay-per-view bout between the two (rumored for WrestleMania 30).

With The Rock skipping out without notice, WWE had to re-write the show. A WWE source described the environment as "chaos backstage".

I heard earlier today that The Rock was scheduled to appear still in two minds whether to watch tonight or not.

I'll tune into the first hour. 3 hours with adds is just too much for me.

CM Punk and several other talents are reportedly livid that the Rock walked out on the company. CM Punk more so than the others.

The feeling is other talents are more shocked than anything else, but Punk is noticeably angrier than anyone else. One talent has reported that all of the respect than Punk gained for the Rock over this recent run has been completely thrown out of the window.

What was cut due to time:

WWE vastly underestimated the time they’d need for each match last night, resulting in all backstage segments being cut from the broadcast, as well as the 8-person tag match. Lilian Garcia’s spot of singing “America The Beautiful” didn’t make it, and Swagger & Colter’s Patriot Patrol was not caught driving in to the arena. It’s also believed Cena might have had a special entrance cut short, although that’s yet to be confirmed.

On the other hand according to PWInsider opening pyro was not cut back due to time, but because the company thought it would send the wrong message after the Hurricane Sandy video. There was also still a lot of natural light that would of drowned out the fireworks.

That expalins the segments being cut then. Also i noticed with Swagger & Colter they have a pretty risky topic that they are using which is good to see, Colter sells the racist very well and the whole time i expected him to just pull out a Klan hood and put it on. Never liked Jack Swagger before but that was a great promo before Del Rio showed up. Then the match on it's own was great Del Rio in my opinion is one of the best in the business right now.

    • Top 5 acts of the weekend for me: 1. The Cure 2. my bloody valentine  3. caroline 4. Father John Misty 5. Big Thief   Biggest disappointments: - Slowdive (the mixing/sound just wasn’t right, and that was about 20 rows from the front of the stage) - The xx (also too quiet and marred by talkers who had no interest in the music)    Positives from an organisational sense: - extra water point at Mordor this year - handing out ponchos before the rain and ear plugs before mbv    However…two of the water points had ran out on Saturday evening, which is completely unacceptable when you stop people from bringing in large bottles of water, and charge €4.50 at the bars for a 330ml can
