16 years ago TODAY was Wrestle Mania 13.

A PPV which had its ups and downs but ultimately put Undertaker back as a cemented main eventer when he beat Sid in the final match of the night for the WWF Title.

But perhaps more importantly was the Bret Hart - Stone Cold match. The match that many say pushed Austin on to the next level.

A green as fuck The Rock also beat and defended the IC title against the Iron Shiek managed The Sultan, who you probably know better as Rikishi.

And lets not forget the brawl between LOD & Ahmed v The Nation

My mate said to me yesterday that he's read a report saying Rey mysterio has failed his 3rd wellness test & been fired but I can't find a report of that anywhere, hoping its bollocks.

In other news,Mark Henry's Texas powerlift record has been broken by a high school senior!!!

RM from what has been reported has buggered up his other knee which is why he has been absent.

although either could be true in all honesty... but the way its going he won't be performing within the next 2 years just because he costs too much especially being a reliability.

hate to say it but can't wait for the "part timers" to finally stop and for the new guys in the nxt to be given the chance on the main roster - sure a few of them are appearing but there's a few solid wrestlers there who haven't been given the chance yet

CHARLOTTE, NC 3/29/13 - The following is an official statement from Ric Flair's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni of Legacy Talent and Entertainment: "We are heartbroken to confirm that Ric's son, Reid Fliehr, has passed away today March 29, 2013 in Charlotte, NC. The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing. Reid was 25 and an incredible son, brother, friend, and professional wrestler. No words can describe the grief that Ric and his family are experiencing and they do request privacy during this devastating time."

It was all the talk last night at FCP in wolves, crazy shit. Thought Reid was gunna be a massive star.

BTW FCP is Fight Club Pro in Wolves, a brilliant little wrestling organisation that if you're free I urge you to go to. Been to the last two shows, just fantastic wrestling and atmosphere

Time to let the cat out of the bag! @LivingColour will be playing me to and from the ring Sunday at #Wrestlemaina. #cultofpersonality

the match i'm most looking forward to as well in all honesty

Sounds great! I'm always in the hope that Motorhead will play Triple H to the ring at Wrestlemania again like they previously did think it was Wrestlemania 21?

The HOF that i watched last year was pretty good i downloaded it after it was aired. Although for most of the inductees they recieved a few minutes speech televised whereas all of Mike Tysons was shown. But Mike's was good, bad move with Trump this year though. If it wasn't for Arnie they would no doubt not be showing all of Bruno Sammartino's induction.

Looking forward for Mania this Sunday, it will be the first ppv in many years I will try to watch live.

It has the potential to be one of the best mania's of the last decade.

    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
