The surprise for me was the winner of Best Family Festival.....LATITUDE.....didn't see that coming.

Festival No6 also had a good night.....best new festival and best headliner (new order).

For completeness......Bloodstock Open Air won best Medium Festival.

the best stripped out everything this year to save money 'grass roots festival' was Green Man .... which just goes to show how great and meaningful these awards are.

Don't think they're too big to headline....they are however too big to not to be headline in my opinion (but then again I am biased as they were the very first gig I ever went to!!)

I really can't see the specials taking a headline spot, would it suit the festivals demographic ............ If you could squeeze them in as a sub headliner I think that's as high as they could be . Will the kids of today like 2 tone ?

See Jake Bugg is in the T in the Park announcement today along with Rhianna and Mumford. Don`t get me wrong, I`m a fan of the lad and will be seeing him again after Christmas BUT has anyone been so brilliantly managed / marketed since the early Artic Monkeys days.

Amazed at the Mumford and Sons thing headlining T...can't see the attraction meself. Music needs a bit of welly, not some noodly doodly bollocks played by posh people in cardigans.

Blondie is a bit different though .......... Iconic in some folks eyes, got a back catalogue of tunes that folk recognise and hear still to this day....... Atomic, Maria the ladies love em.
