Psyched for this festival! 1st time at beni!

We are arriving on the monday, seen some say you get a better spot coming early but I've heard you get directed by staff and put somewhere? I take it they chose good spots for you?

What are people taking to sleep on?! I'm going to buy a lilo but don't wanna wake up sticking to it every morning haha. Blanket or anything? Really not sure...

Also, I see the Clashfinder has been updated with different stage times - anyone know where this info has come from?

Hi George, Campfest have a specific parking area and it will be opened, don't worry.

I have messaged them as we are coming in a car as well. Seems stupid.

They keep tweeting that stage times are coming soon..... so we will know soon enough! maybe

The site says that the parkings of Campfest and Villacamp have the same schedules than those. So it opens on Monday. I guess that the one that opens on Thursday is the parking for the people with day tickets

Thought the Arctic Monkeys were top notch at Glasto but resisted buying tickets for the UK tour because of Beni and I saw The Strypes last week.

Are you travelling alone in the end or is your friend joining?

My friend who is coming to beni recently had an incident involving an axe and his leg. Yes, you read that correctly.

So needless to say, he is having major difficulties walking/standing etc. does anyone know whether there is a disabled area at beni he could use?

Last year they didn't give us the stage times until the 9th July, 3 days before the festival started so I wouldn't hold your breath that they'll be soon.

My friend's joining me thankfully, I think with my current level of excitement I'd definitely go it alone if she did let me down though! With there only being the two of us I'm looking forward to meeting more people out there anyway

Tell me about it, everyday for about the past 2 months i seem to end up talking about Beni, thank god it's nearly here!!!

If I could give one tip and one tip only it would be accept the heat and get cool when you can! Don't try rushing around else you will get exhausted and agitated, you just have to accept you will sweat your tits off and you will most likely whiff!!!! Haha

Seriously though I can't bloody wait, anybody know what it's like for drink driving? Going to bed at 6am and driving to the beach at 9am a bad idea???

First year at Beni, what are the prices like for booze, food etc? Is there many local shops? want to buy towels, lilos etc out there as have tiny baggage allowance! anyone having trouble booking renefe trains online?

Try a single duvet cover and either sleep in that on the lilo or put the lilo in it. The beach towels idea is a good one as suggested elsewhere but they either will be sandy, wet or both. (Edited as I can't seem to get my in and on sorted oooh er missus)

Everyone talks about cheap drink and bottles of vodka and what not, but are bottles actually allowed in the campsite or will they have to be plastic like at UK fests?

It's a long thread so;

Inside the festival it is a ripoff 6-7euros for a litre of beer. Just drink outside, there is a few supermarkets and loads of local shops selling food and alcohol dirt cheap, the famous vodka is a beautiful 5euros a litre and does just fine

Everything you need or have forgotten or can't fit in your suitcase can be bought in beni!!! And cheaply

You must sweat your taters off with a duvet! And takes up so much room, a bit of sand and a damp towel is the least of my worries, I'm just happy not to end up in a ditch covered in dust! Seriously though towels dry in 10-15minutes and just shake the sand off.
