Brothers cider

A bit like Guinness from dublin I'm more susceptible to the stuff at Glasto on tap rather than the cans which are gassy. I'm not a fan of the alchopop flavours either. All in all they lost it when they stopped the flagons. I now rather the ciderbus

I rekon its mostly taste, if special brew tasted half decent I rekon it would have ended up everyone drinking it. Rather than just tramps :P

Tbh i couldn't give a crap if brothers was marketing or not. I enjoy the taste of it, its 7% or there abouts for festie strength and at 10 quid ( was it last year?) for 3 its not bad value at a fest! About the only places i buy alcohol from at glasto, is brothers or cider bus! (and oh the Cubana for a cheeky cocktail!)

You're more than likely right - plus the fact it all started at Glasto prob adds to the 'coolness' of it all

One thing I do wonde r- all these people who drink Brothers Festival cider - 7% or whatever it is - I wonder if the same people would drink K strong strength cider

A few friends used to drink one or two of them before going out so that they'd be fairly pissed to begin with at the pub. I recall drinking a bottle of it once myself but really had to force it down.

On my mates 18th birthday we all went to the pub for a change (ie we'd been going there for a year or two anyway). At the end of the night he said for everyone to go back to his house as his mom and dad had bought some beer in for us all to carry on the celebrations. His mom and dad didn't know anything about beer. lager etc and had ended up buying us two trays of Tennents Super. What occurred that night was nothing short of madness. Not just your normal I've drunk 15 pints of beer kind of madness. Oh no, this was something completely different. This was teetering on the very edge of the Richter scale of lunacy. It all ended when my friend whose 18th it was declared that he was going upstairs to shag his mom. It was then that we heard his dad call out from the landing that ' I think you boys have had enough drink now, it's time to go home'. Never again will I touch that stuff and I'd drink piss off a thistle if I thought it had some alcohol in it!

I was in Italy a few years ago and ended up buying a stubby bottle of Tennent's Super (best alcohol content to Euro ratio) from a street vendor. It was suprisingly pleasant, though don't think it'd take too many to make me feel less than super!

Glad to see the return of Brother's Lemon. Not really a fan of fizzy alcopop type drinks but I find it a nice refreshing alternative every now and then to flat, warm lager from a can. :beerhat:

Just to save starting a new topic, Last time i went (2009) they stopped selling brothers in the big bottles at the brothers bar near the jazzworld stage, i was just wondering if anyone knows if this was still the case last time? this information will seriously affect the levels of booze i drag into the festival with me!
