Desperate Situation

I am in desperate need of some advice. I am no longer able to attend leeds festival this year, but the ticket I ordered is meant to be collected at the box office and I live in ireland so I cant just fly over to get it to sell it to somebody else. Does anyone have any advice they can give me on how I can get the ticket sent to my home or allow someone ive sold it to to pick it up instead?

If anyone would actually be interested in buying it, more so the better. I'll probably sell it below face value (just wanna get rid of it at this stage).

Just ring the ticket agency up and say you want it delivered instead.

Contact the provider. Ask for their advice. They won't give you a refund, but you may be able to get some sort of agreement about sending someone a note and they're able to collect it from the box office.

Does anyone know when they normally post the tickets?

I've had mine come the day before I leave before. That was a pain. Normally you get them the week of the festival, If I remember correctly. Didn't go last year though so don't know if anything has changed?

They massively cocked up in 2010 and loads of people had to pick up tickets in Leeds city centre, so they made up for it last year by sending them out about a month earlier

If its on seetickets you can get them to change the delivery address or do it yourself. Therefore if you sell it you can just get it delivered straight to them, had it done for me the other year!

So if I understand you and the ticketmaster website correctly, does this mean you gave the guy who sold you it a copy of youre bank statement/credit card statement so they could prove the change of address?

Wonderful news! I contacted ticketmaster and they told me a third party can collect the ticket as long as I call them ahead and the third party presents "the order number, a copy of the card used to make the booking showing the last 4 digits and a letter of authorization from the card holder (me!)"
