The only real clashes for me are The Cure/The Maccabees and Feeder/Kasabian.

The Cure obviously win the first one but I'm not so sure about the second. I will see how good Feeder are at Isle of Wight next week.

The only one I can think of is Coheed & Cambria vs JEFF the Brotherhood. I'd have only seen the former if there was nothing else I'd wanted to see, so I'll go with JTB.

Also, not really a clash, but there's nothing I particularly want to watch on the Sunday night, so stuck for who to see.

Basing off of this http:///s/readingfestival2k12/?user=00hhrt.yq& I have:

The Cure/ Sleigh Bells - might just leave the cure early to watch sleigh bells.

OFWGKTA/ Santigold/ Grimes/ Don Broco - not sure. probably odd future.

Enter Shikari/ Billy Talent/ Modestep/ We Are The In Crowd - worst. clash. so upset. actually not sure what i'll do.

Florence/ Azaelia Banks/ Young Guns - thinking azaelia then go catch the rest of florence.

Foo Fighters/ Justice - since it's a special occasion and it's where all my friends'll be i'm pretty sure i'll be at foos.

So one terrible one but all in all not so bad.

My major clashes atm are:

The Cure/FTP & The Maccabees/Sleigh Bells

Florence /The Cribs/ Azelia Banks

The Vaccines/Lower Than Atlantis

Pure Love/Blood Red Shoes

Band Of Skulls & Eagles of Death Metal/ Howler & Django Django & Tribes

The Black Keys/Two Door

Hopefully a few of them may sort themselves out when we have a better idea of timings :) Think I'll just go with the flow on Saturday, I've got loads of minor clashes that day as well so I know I'm not going to get to see everyone.

The Cure/Sleigh Bells

Crystal Castles/Alt-J

Gaslight Anthem/DZ Deathrays

The Horrors/2:54

Blood Red Shoes/Theme Park

Kasabian/ATDI/Metronomy

Black Keys/Benj Leftwich

underlined who i think i'll probs end up seeing, might try and catch some of Sleigh Bells if The Cure get anything above 2 hours. Crystal Castles would win if they were in a tent.

I struggle to see how they'll surprise people considering this is their 6th year in a row playing the festival. They could bring on Robert Smith I suppose, but other than that I can't see what would make their set any better than the other times.

Me too, I've been every year they've played and haven't seen them so due to the crappy options during the day on Friday I'll probably check them out (I guesstimate that they'll be starting around the same time that The Hives are finishing).

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
