Shitty headliners across the board (Portishead and maybe Public Enemy are the only headliners of any stage that I'd be interested in), but good stuff spread throughout the rest of the line-up. A lot of crap, but a lot of good.

Remember as well that that's the majority of the glasto lineup right there. Reading still has so much to announce, including little surprises I'm sure to knock some of the names lower down the bill. Give it time.....

I don't think it's amazing as people are making it out to be, a lot of those band are all over the European circuit this year there isn't really anything that stands out too much.

Looking at twitter right now, I'm thinking how shit it would now be to see Arctic Monkeys live. So many over the top fangirls, why can't they just get on with it and enjoy the music? Instead the ins and outs of their life revolve around Arctic Monkeys, fuck sake. I think if I saw them live, I'd end up getting into a fight with so many of these faggots.

Also, that Morrissey background, I wish people would realise it's fake :(

Its all personal opinion though isnt it? There acts I would watch on all stages rather than say leeds for example where it would be 1.

For my tastes main stage at leeds is better and the rest of glastonbury is better, like I said thats my personal taste.

I just get the feeling if Reading announced that, a lot of people would be criticizing it.

Though no UK festivals have really grabbed me this summer, mostly it's the same undercard on a loop - End of the Road is the one that stands out so far, for me.

Some of their fans really do annoy me, they act like it's the end of the world if they're not playing. I'm a fan, but I'd have been disappointed if they were announced for Reading this year. Some of their fans should really extend their music taste beyond the NME.

The more I look at it the less appealing it is, but that's probably because all of the V Festival shit keeps jumping out at me. There are certainly 10 bands there (the Hives, Dinosaur Jr, Portishead, Nick Cave, Primal Scream, First Aid Kit, Pumpkins, Palma Violets, Tim Burgess, Savages) that I would go out of my way to see. Certainly more than Reading at this stage.

Also justice is served as it looks like Editors are playing above The Lumineers :P

Correct on both accounts there, glastonbury always has that soft spot with many people who are agoing and who have been before. I know its cliche but the music is only half the story at glastonbury.

End of the road is stunning, only festival im going to this summer that im excited about.

    • They are going to have Blink 182 for sure, early June upto around Werchter weekend I'd say for them. Two of Sweden Rock,  Greenfield and RFP are going to miss out.
    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
