I'm almost certain the headliners will be Faith No More, Guns N Roses, and Queen. And it just so happens GNR dates in France have started leaking (5 dates in total apparently, 1 so far on the 18th of June), as well as the leaked Polish date on the 30th of June from aaaages ago. GNR and Queen would explain the delay too. Slash is also going to be playing too, most likely...which could be interesting

Total agreement from me as well. I know that Soni's strength is usually in its breadth of great bands but i'd be a bit pissed off with FNM, G'n'R (if they ever eventually appear onstage) and Adam Lambert supported by Queen.

Fingers crossed that this line up doesn't come about .... but there are still many other potential headliners out there so i remain hopeful.

I'm intrigued why they won't be making any announcements for another 2 weeks - on the face of it that might appear to be poor organisation/communications but surely there is a good reason for this. Maybe the announcement will actually be, in the words of Kerrang, unbelievable?

Who knows

Yeah Queen, GNR and Faith No More isn't going to attract that much older an audience than the festival usually does surely? Faith No More aren't that old, GNR and Queen are, but both are bands loved by young people too...

They'll be a lot of hype for GNR this year though, considering the whole possible reunion at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. And like I said, I've heard Slash is booked (Which would make sense, going by the leaks that started the Queen rumours, he's headlining one of the nights at soni france).

if it's rumoured acts then it will be - unbelievably bad i reckon. I can't see how it'll do very well at shifting tix with those bands.

The types who might be attracted by that version of Queen aren't likely to be the sorts who'd normally attend a festival, and FMN are not the draw that some people assume them to be (as shown by their Download & R/L apperarances a few years back).

If those are the headliners then I wouldn't be hugely surprised if this turned out to be the last Sonisphere in the UK.

Absolute Bollocks. Almost everyone loves queen, seriously I don't know anyone who doesn't like Queen. Of course they'd shift tickets, you know, being one of the biggest bands in the world. Faith No More aren't the biggest headliner, agreed, but the year they played Download they were coupled with 2 not so big headliners either and yet Download still sold, what? 90,000 tickets. And to say GNR won't sell tickets is just laughable, like I said, going by the Hall of Fame rumours, they'll be a lot of hype over them.

If you think those bands, with a good undercard can't sell out or near enough sell out a 60,000 festival, to the point "it'll possibly be the last sonisphere UK", then you clearly know nothing. Seriously, it's comments like that, that make people think you guys know nothing about festivals...

    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
