My only live experience of Beyonce's show was seeing her fireworks go of as I was watching Queens of the Stone Age. But having just watched her set on i-Player, yeah I agree she did very well. I take my hat off to her; as a lot of overseas guitar bands don't get Glastonbury's significance, never mind pop acts.

I thought she was excellent! Completely owned the stage and crowd and for the people moaning, why the f**k did you watch her? Plenty of other things to do at Glastonbury.

Would love to get her entire set on DVD but no idea where or how to get it!

I'm the first person you'd expect to be a rock/indie snob -- but I thought the Beyonce show was incredible.

Tailed off a bit at the end -- didn't like the finale -- but the entrance, the big solo songs, the covers, the Destiny's Child medley were all masterful.

I didn't bother to watch her at the time but started to her on the BBC last night. My god it was awful. Her dancing looked crap. Her use of covers to get the crowd on side was just to cheesy.

To me it just came across as someone who cares about the.money not the music which is why she concentrates on dancing and not singing. If wanted to see someone dancing to music I'd go see a dancer not a singer. Still I doubt she cares when she can charge 1 million a gig to perform for dictators

think you must be right on the telly thing as I saw a bit of it on the telly and she looked talentless and the show looked lame beyond lameness..

For me it was the setlist that didn't work. Starting with - by all reasonable definitions - her two most popular/well-known songs, she effectively robbed the set of all its momentum. By the time she started to verge into power-balladry, (what admittedly wasn't but certainly played out as if it was going to be) a perfume advert and birthday wishes for Steve effing Stout, I threw in the towel and remembered that I had to be elsewhere.

A pity, becuase I went with an open mind and could have been convinced - but seeing that she did covers of songs I dislike and crammed some otherwise excellent Destiny's Child tracks into a medley, I regret nothing.

I thought she absolutely smashed it!! She's not the first artist I would pay to go and see, but this was my first Glasto and whilst my friends went to watch The Streets, I didn't want to be inside a tent for the last set at Glasto, so went to the Pyramid. Sooo glad I did. From the minute the fireworks went off, she appeared like a Goddess on stage, smoke everywhere, crowd going crazy!! I knew it was the right decision. Such a brilliant end to the festival for me.

How anyone can say she doesn't have talent is beyond me. Her performance reminded me of a young Tina Turner but better. Vocals were flawless, dancing amazingly energetic considering it was live, the whole production was brilliant. I'll admit it was better live than on TV, but even on TV you could see she gave it her all.

People say Glasto isn't the place for pop, but what about Motown, Soul, Disco and proper Rythym and Blues? Are they allowed? Sometimes I think people need to take their heads out their arses and just appreciate a good performance for what it is, even though it's labelled as "pop".

And why people would ever think that absolute c*nt Alexander "Zane" Lowe is more credible than Beyonce is totaly beyond me. People who truly think they are "cool" are generally the biggest twats, and he fits that description perfectly. urgh!

When she first came on stage (late) I was blown away by how good it all was. But then it started entering the relms of cheesy, tacky, and tedious. The birthday thing was beyond lame, and i did start getting a bit bored during the middle bit. But then she started breaking out older tunes again and I was once again blown away. She is clearly an incredible talent, and puts on a great show, so i'm not sure whether my boredness was because of her or just my inability to engage with it. Either way she did put on an amazing show, so props to her.

Also.... Why was Tricky there? What did he do? I was excited, waited, and nothing really happened?

It's called backing vocals. If you wanted her to sing EVERY note exactly as she sings on the single, she wouldn't be able to do any dancing. Fact of the matter is, she sang live, it was brilliant. Yes some parts when she danced the backing vocalists sung the main chorus lines, but jeez, that's pretty commonplace in live performances. Even rock bands have the chorus lines sung by the guitarists/drummers or whoever to give the lead singer a breather.

I don't remember any other bands I saw over the weekend have the lead vocal carry on when their mouth wasn't moving though.

Love how you're all getting Apple-Fan-Boy over a pop artist who has songs made and chosen for her by a boardroom tho. She's there to entertain and look pretty, at least accept she wasn't even singing half the time, for gods sake.

I watched the first 7 or so tunes before popping off to Kool and the Gang (to be nearer to the hoof to SL before al the other headliners ended) and I was fairly blown away by her set and the show. Now watching the whole of the set on BBC3 and so pleased and happy to see so many ladies filling up the front rows of the Pyramid.

The headliner slots are for anyone that Eavis deems he wants to headline, not the grumpy buggers who demand stadium rock and nothing else.

Bring on Kylie as a farewell gig maybe (rumours of no more big shows for her) and the GAGA for Sunday closing in 2013!!! Beyonce has opened the door to female headliners.
