Gaffa tape, you would be surprised how handy it comes in! oh and ear plugs as well, even if you only get a couple of hours sleep they will help you get two hours of good sleep!

I have so much to do. Have had zero sleep. Have got as far as digging stuff out of the camping cupboard, but still need to find tent.

Two HUGE bags of 'stuff' are in my bedroom, which is all the new stuff I've bought, doesn't include clothes.

Feel like shit, work tomorrow & Tuesday, very busy. Going into panic mode now so best go and walk dog and chill out ....

I'm just about to put the tent up inside, throw open all the windows and waterproof spray it. Looks too unsettled outside to put it up in the garden.

Clothes etc done, trailer tent packed. Just went to get my 3-man tent out of the attic and it wasn't there. Thinking back we can't ever remember putting it there, nor could we find my other small tent. Putting two and two together it now appears that they were both stolen along with my bikes when my garage was robbed earlier this year. Insurance claim all done and dusted so I'm gonna have to write them off. On the plus side, I have one (as yet unused) Vango 4 man tent left so onwards and upwards. I'll miss "old faithful", he went out on a high though, his last outing was the dust storms of 2010!

Just halved my pile of clothes. Thinking being, regardless of conditions I'm essentially wearing combats and a t-shirt with/without a set of waterproofs over the top. If it gets cold there's a surplus store with a £1 rail. Got a few bits off them over the years, which I have just sorted into a pile to go to the local homeless shelter - this has made me feel a bit happier following the tent demise! As has the thought of shopping for a new tent!
