I don't care about getting -'d, but...;

In some ways I agree with Mr Nightcrawler here. The system is used in a different way than intended. For example; if I said 'I love my mangina', which is just an opinion, I would get -'d therefore my reputation would go down just for loving a bit of man fanny.

This example can be changed where appropriate.

So I have been trying to get all the posts back here to 0. Turns out your only aloud a certan amount of negatives in a day. I like that, an artifical limit to your negativity...

Edited to add

Unfortuantly there is also an articial limit on positivity as well...

Just because people don't feel the need to share every detail about their life on the internet doesn't actually mean they haven't got a life.

Very bitter for someone who isn't bothered by all this.

and you are an idiot

you are both clearly losers with little to no social lives, hence why people "starting self indulgent threads", IE talking about there own social lives, is such a problem for you both and makes you both so ruffled around the feathers eh?

Why so mean? Because perhaps people just don't like your posts. No one said a word till you started this stupid thread.

You keep going on at great lengths to say you're not bothered yet you won't let it go. This thread woul've probably disappeared days ago if you stopped bringing it back to the top.

My advice? Let it go. If you're really not fussed what people on the internet think of you then good but that certainly isn't the impression you're giving out.

Nightcrawler wasnrt starting this thread to ask if people liked him; he started the thread to discuss the + and - feature on it. People had a dig at him, which wasn't neccesary. It could have been easy to just say - 'I like it, it's a way to let someone know I don't like their post without actualy replying' - without taking personal swipes at the guy.

In fact, the people swiping at him did say that's why they used the feature, and then added the rather cruel comments. Contradicting themeselves completely.

Discussion topics should be able to lead to discussion. They aren't meant to be hijacked and changed from the initial topic either (something which has happened in this thread at no fault of the original poster).

But don't you see that telling him why he gets the negative comments is crucial to discussing the feature? You have to know how and why people use a feature, before you can decide whether it is worthwhile or childish.

I've never used the feature, and now that I know it can cause offence, I never will.

I was never sure what was the purpose of it. If I disagree with a post, I'd want to express my reasons. I don't see the point of giving an anonymous negative.

To be honest, I just thought those who used it were messing about giving each other minus points. like that stupid 'you've been poked' feature on facebook.

I can't be arsed with that either. It's utterly pointless and meaningless.

Yep don't think anyone ever debated it wasn't childish. Mind you, don't think anyone has debated anything at all.

The -1's don't cause offence though, clearly. It's stating the reasons behind the -1's that do. So you can draw obvious conclusions from this. If someone says something in real life that you don't agree with, just send them an anonymous note saying "Your kudos: -1", and it's better for everyone.

However, from now on if someone says something on here that I don't agree with or like, I'm just gonna call them a c**t or whatever.

But isn't that what the minus ones imply? If you're giving a reason for your disagreement, it's related to the topic, not the person. And the person then gets the opportunity to defend their opinion.

Do you get a +/- score personally, or is it limited to a particular post?

Personally, I previously thought it was perfectly harmless, but if it bothers some people, then it's not.

    • Solid list...  but i must ask?  are you excluding Lime Garden & Tomora as you didn't like them or is it that you havent listened to them?
    • It was Brooklyn last year, and I seem to remember a Guinness tent
    • That leaker off Instagram was saying earlier this year that Nickelback are doing a tour with Broco and Wargasm, but no evidence as yet
    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
