System 7 + Mirror System

I really wouldn't mind seeing System 7 again, and SH solo or with Gong, but I doubt I'll get the chance. Glasto 2003 was the first time away from home with my future wife and is where I introduced her to some of my fave bands - System 7, eat Static and the Ozrics - and she hated them. Totally, utterly, hated them. So, this year, our first back since, unless I can sneak off and leave under with Funkadelic or Detroit Spinners (unlikely) I guess we'll both be compromising and I'll be missing Hillage.

Hmmmm .... I'm not entirely sure the listed date is for System 7 or Mirror System - after all, Steve is playing as "Steve Hillage" on the Glasto '71 stage.

But of course it could be dates for System (in one form or the other) as well.

right, a bit of clarity, but not firm details as yet because they've not been firmed up as yet.

There'll be two System 7 performances, one in Shangri-La at 5am one morning, and another on one of the more regular stages.

There'll also be "Steve Hillage" - a solo guitar guest appearance with a specially composed Glastonbury Fayre jamband (which I'm guessing will be on the '71 stage).

There should be firm details in the near future.

This is excellent news, would be good to have FSOL as well, but dont get your hopes up they are not touring, dunno why I even mentioned it, as you were.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
