Pulp got the biggest crowd of the festival last year so Blur would get a huge crowd.

Radiohead was a number of factors

1) Different type of band to Blur in that they don't have big hits that everyone knows

2) It was a very lad rock weekend- Arctics and KoL being the other headliners. Radiohead aren't lad rock

3) The headliners on other stages were really strong. I left halfway through Radiohead to see Deadmau5, and La Roux was in the FR tent at the peak of her popularity whilst the rockers had Lostprophets in the NME tent

Bloc Party now been announced to play Open'er festival on 6th July, so it looks like they are going to be playing quite a few festival rather than the odd 1 or 2

except for like Coldplay where they had Jay Z but they can pretty much have anyone, go for it.

New Order are not a sub at a major festival, they haven't even fully sold out an academy sized tour yet. QOTSA are a sub and do this within hours with ease.
