Bloc Party to headline instead of subbing kasabian. They have subbed to many times and with the reunion and new album they might as well be headliners, with mumford underneath. Yes for the Beastie boys but with some more hip hop on the same day, wu tang clan, de la soul maybe? Foo fighters with biffy under seems to be what most are saying.

Who would you have 2nd then? Bloc Party, The Prodigy, QOTSA? Its the same old bands playing over and over again. in the last 5 years no other have formed and become as big as mumford are, I don't even like them that much but new bands need to be given the chance.

those bands didnt start off being another generic indie band like mumford have, at least they have a distinct sound/style unlike the crap like mumford which is breaking through constantly, which is killing the market.

give it a few years they will have died down when the nme have another new band to arselick

Yeah they do and hopefully after this year they will realise that not only do they need new and good headliners, they also need strong and proven headliners that haven't played every festival going. And also less repeat bookings and a larger mix bands old and new.

I agree, they're something of a gimmicky band (especially at R&L) and while they went down well last year they were never going to be back this year and I'd be surprised if they ever made it up to headline/sub level.
