The frequent R+L performers have announced that they'll do a couple of festivals before heading into the studio in the autumn. What are the chances that they'll have a set this year, and if so whereabouts on the bill would you put them?

They played last year in a fairly high slot so I can't see them playing again this year but if they do I'd imagine they'd have the same slot probably on The Strokes day.

They're playing Kendal calling so I don't see why they wouldn't play Leeds

I thought they said at the end of their set at Reading they wouldn't be playing again for a while. I assumed that meant they were having a break, but reading on this thread that they are doing some festivals and recording again could mean i return to reading though I doubt it. If they do they'll play the same place as last year or headline NME, but they did that in 2008. As much as I like them I'd say get someone new in!

Like everyone else doubt they will play.

I've seen them twice and both times they annoyed me, they kept telling the crowd they're punk and came off as smug little shits.

Got a huge crowd at Glastonbury this year. One of those bands at the moment that wouldn't set the forums on fire. Not many bands do repeat bookings at R+L too (ignore Bloc Party, The Subways & Enter Shikari as they are R+L favourites).

I always enjoy The Cribs when I see them but I think it's time for a break from the festival, I'd rather see the slot go to someone who hasn't played before.

Dont think they'll play this year. Will play next year with their new material as long as it doesn't flop.
