The Hives?

Played Rock am Ring last year and have a couple of live dates booked across europe this summer.

Have been apparently recording new material since january. Anybody reckon theres a realistic chance that they will make an appearance this year?

tbh i dont no that much about them, or there current status so im not sure were they would go. i do like them tho, wouldn't say no to an apperance.

They have enough good material to pull off 3rd main easily to be honest, but with them having not played R+L since 2004 (they played 4th main I believe) im not sure whether they would be put in that position.

Personally dont think they would be above 4th now, but i think they are great, dont think they will be there at all though tbh

4th seemed high to me... but comparing them to other bands that have played the position in recent years... it may be about right, when looking at bands like Cypress Hill, Ian Brown, Fall Out Boy... I reckon they could pull it off. Think the organisers would play safe and put them at 5th though.

The hives headlining the nme tent would work for me! I dont see why they couldnt if the macabees can.

I like the Hives but they've slipped off the radar really, I don't think they'd be any higher than fifth.

Did a little prediction the other day and I had The Hives about 5th down on the main stage on The Strokes day, thought it was a good shout. Seen them a few times,never at a festival but would imagine they would go down well. Would be a good addition IMO.

They are a festival type band, so would probably play higher than their popularity would sugggest.

The Hives headlining NME the same time as MCR on main(considering they are there) would be ideal, although put them up against any headliner and il probably be there. The one band i want to see above all. Also i reckon 3rd/4th slot on main below The Strokes and Pulp would be brilliant. They tend to do maybe one english show a year, Hard Rock last year, did a smaller festival a year or 2 before so never know. JUST GET THEM THERE!

Was hoping theyd be at Download as theyre playing euro fests at the time but just one day booked so far download weekend. If they dont play then maybe theyll play reading
