Neil said when Pulp were announced as reforming that he had fairly good info they were going to be there. He also seems fairly sure they're playing under Beyonce on the Saturday night. Besides all the obvious history of them and the festival, Jarvis said last year after DJing, "see you next year", he also mentioned it on his 6Music show. A spokesman for the band flatly denied they were playing the US (which has so far proved to be true) but wouldn't comment on Glasto. Jarvis refused to comment to someone on here when asked.

Now stranger things have happened and perhaps things have fallen through, but you've never posted on here so you're the one person in the world it seems who says they're not there, so you can't blame people for not believing you!

No, I don't blame anyone. And obviously being told they aren't playing (however good/close my source) is different from categorically knowing they won't be there. So I live in hope.

I understand they are definitely headlining Leeds/Reading, so I don't know if that's got anything to do with it.

If they are headlining Reading and Leeds than you would be right as those are supposedly exclusive headliners, but the latest rumours were that they weren't top of the bill. And if they're not headlining at T in the Park or Isle of Wight, I can't see that they'd end up headlining Reading and Leeds.

It would make sense for them to deny/shrug off any rumours of them playing Glastonbury. They have tickets on sale for a huge show in Hyde Park and, I suspect, ticket sales probably haven't been that great (given that Wireless never sells out). They may want them to reach a certain figure before any announcement is made.

And considering they're subbing at seemingly every other festival, it'd be very rich of them to fall out with Glasto over Beyonce getting top billing over them. Just cannot see it. Worst case scenario they'd end up doing a secret slot at the Park

According to someone on Twitter (and yes I know that doesn't make this a certainty!) Jarvis told someone at the NME awards that Pulp are definitely playing Glasto

With him being chummy with the fest he'll be keeping quiet until the rest of the line-up are officially announced, and there's ticket sales for Wireless the week after to think about

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
