Could this be the suprise that the "troll" on the other thread is be talking about? Or the amazing booking that Melvin has hinted.

If so who will they replace from the list of rumoured headliners? I'd say Muse myself.

well after doin gb and T in 09 where else could they headline in the UK other than R/L thats big enough? if they play a uk fest it will be r/l, just doubt that they will, would be awesome

Blur definately have an affinity with Reading festival and I'm sure they will play but I just don't know if it'll be this year.

I'm probably just fooling myself but I'm still hoping they play. I just refuse to believe that the three headliners mentioned are the three we will see in August. I remember Damon saying Blur wouldn't be doing much soon due to the committments of other band members. Interestingly, Gorillaz which was by far the biggest of the side projects, are rumoured to be splitting up, paving the way for a Blur renunion again:
